Every year more Australian’s are embarking on university study through distance education taking advantage of its comprehensive and flexible approach to higher learning.

While there are myriad distance study providers, Open Universities Australia is at the vanguard of off-campus tertiary education bringing together 18 leading universities and institutions.

Open Universities Australia Student Advisor Tim Splatt believes that the main benefit of distance education is the flexibility it affords people that ordinarily couldn’t study on campus.

“In my experience, there’s a large mix of working business people and stay-at-home mums that study”, he said.
